Daniele Cortese
is a bassist, guitarist, composer based in Italy.
His versatility as instrumentalist and composer allowed him, over the years, to take part in various
productions ranging from traditional jazz (The Guilty Lab – founder and composer, Nightrain jazz
trio, Goodblend 4et) over to progressive Rock (LiberaePhonocratia – founder and composer), from
fusion (Mozaic) to world music and research (Fase Hobart, Artemista ensamble, Metamorfosi),
from author and Pop music ( Old Cottonfield – Founder and composer, Vincenzo Greco, Simone Lo
Porto) to electronic music (Scat cat project – founder and composer, VPS Records di Bristol) and
finally to classical music (Andrea Ferrario’s Quartet).
He participated in all these musical projects both as instrumentalist and as composer and he also
collaborated with international artists.
He is also composer of soundtracks for theatral plays such as: "L'isola" (F. Vanacore), "Dott.
Cagliari" (F. Vanacore), "Sax Session" (Stefano Leonardi), "Bella con l'anima" (Antonio
Zamberletti). In this last project, in addition to live performances, he is also engaged as assistant
director.
